There’s nothing more important than preserving our sense of who we are, where we are going, and how far we’ve come as told by our storybook of photographs. I feel my strength lies not only in my photography skills, but in my ability to make my clients feel comfortable and enjoy the experience, hopefully, even a smile & a laugh! I understand it can be a bit awkward, hey, we’re not all supermodels!

I don’t believe my story would be complete without sharing a bit of my past. When I was 10 years old, my family fled the former Yugoslavia for Germany as the Balkan war began to rage. Many of the childhood memories I still preserve are rekindled in the small handful of photographs that survived our family’s journey. I cherish those photographs as they are a constant reminder to the strength of one’s family, and provide a sense of grounding to my roots.

After 9 years in Germany where I completed my formal education, my family immigrated to the United States in 1999. I was 19, the family leader since I spoke English, and utterly shocked to discover that America was not all beaches, sunshine, palm trees, and surfing! Damn you Hollywood! We had arrived…St. Louis City here we are!

Within a year, I had met my future husband and I was readying myself to move to Los Angeles to be with him after he moved. After 2 years in Northern & Southern California, we spent a few years in Tucson, Arizona, and Minneapolis, Minnesota before arriving in Arlington, Virginia in 2003. My husband was at a startup and I got sucked into helping him out which eventually ended up in me being the Administrative Assistant. Woohoo!

NOW IS THE TIME!

Fast forward…and then the Pandemic hit…my time to put up or shut up had arrived! I was all in and ready to take a step back from the business and start my own career. The best decision I’ve ever made! I’ve met so many wonderful people during the last 8 months. It’s life changing and I’m SO very thankful for clients taking a chance with me. I’m loving every second of it!

As Alexandria, Virginia is my home, you may see me walking the streets, talking to business owners, and promoting this historic city and its unique, melting pot of personalities and people. Please say hi if you see me out and about!
